Tasting notes
Its deep color reveals beautiful intensity, ranging from a vibrant deep red to subtle garnet highlights.
This powerful and complex wine expresses itself generously through aromas of black fruits—blackcurrant, blackberry, and redcurrant—harmoniously intertwined with more evolved notes of tapenade and leather, complemented by delicate hints of spice and cocoa.
On the palate, the attack is smooth and enveloping. The silky, caressing tannins bring a lovely sense of softness while providing structure and balance. The wine gains volume and breadth throughout the tasting experience, culminating in a long, persistent, and elegant finish.
Food and wine pairings
This wine pairs perfectly with generous and flavorful dishes such as roasted pork rack, Veal Marengo stew, or Lozère lamb with herbs. It also complements game meats beautifully, including wild boar and roe deer, as well as slow-cooked seven-hour lamb. The tender textures and rich flavors of these dishes echo the wine’s power, complexity, and silky tannins.
